Sleepy
Holler Campground is located in the hill country of Alabama, approximately
4 miles east of Jasper and 33 miles west of Birmingham. Currently
we ask that you call for
directions
due to the construction on US 78.
We
have 130 sites with full hookups, 20, 30, and 50 amps, and telephone
service. We rent cabins, apartments, and campers, which are all
fully furnished, with the exception of bath towels and wash cloths.
We also have the beautiful Sleepy Holler Independent Church on the
premises, where everyone is welcome.

We
have 2 fishing lakes with large mouth bass, catfish, and blue gills.
There is no charge for our guests to fish and we do not require
an Alabama fishing license. Along the hiking trails you will find
an abundance of wild life such as deer, turkeys, squirrels, and
many various species of birds that are great for bird watchers.
We do not allow hunting of any kind.
Enjoy
the peaceful scenery of Alabama while being only minutes from Wal-Mart
Supercenter, Home Depot, numerous auto parts stores, supermarkets,
doctors, clinics, a hospital, pharmacies, several restaurants, golf
courses, service stations, beautiful
Smith Lake, and several rivers.

Sleepy Holler also borders the Union
Chapel Mine Paleozoic Footprint & Fossil Site, which is
the most significant of it's kind in the world. The campground rests
on part of the old mine, which makes it perfect for those with an
interest in paleontology. And for those who enjoy fossil hunting,
the State's Official site is not currently open to the public. However,
you can occasionally find fossils on our property. If there is enough
interest in the future, we will open a fossil dig site on the property.
